THE DIGITAL READS — BOOK SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting a book to The Digital Reads, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms.

1. Rights & Ownership

You confirm that you are the author, copyright owner, publisher, or otherwise legally authorised to submit the book and grant The Digital Reads permission to use the materials provided.

You must not submit a book, cover, description, or other material that you do not have permission to distribute or promote.

You retain ownership and copyright of your work. Submitting your book does not transfer ownership or copyright to The Digital Reads.

2. Permission to Promote & Display Your Book

By submitting your book, you give The Digital Reads permission to use the information and materials supplied with your submission, including:

• Book title
• Author name
• Book description
• Author biography
• Book cover
• Promotional images
• Book excerpts where appropriate
• Links supplied by you

This permission allows The Digital Reads to display and promote your book on its website, social media channels, newsletters, marketing materials and other promotional channels operated by The Digital Reads.

3. Book Sales & Distribution

Submitting a book does not automatically mean that the book will be accepted, published, listed or offered for sale.

All submissions are subject to review.

If your book is accepted for sale or distribution through The Digital Reads, any applicable pricing, payment, commission, distribution or other •  Section 3, replace the last paragraph with: If your book is accepted, the commission set out on this page (50% of the sale price) applies unless we agree otherwise in writing before your book goes live.

4. No Guarantee of Acceptance

Submitting a book does not guarantee that it will be accepted or listed on The Digital Reads.

The Digital Reads reserves the right to decline a submission or decide not to list a book without being required to provide a detailed explanation.

5. Content

Books submitted should be original works or works that you are legally authorised to distribute.

The Digital Reads may decline or remove books containing material that is illegal, fraudulent, infringing, misleading, abusive, or otherwise unsuitable for the website.

The Digital Reads does not guarantee that every submitted book will meet its editorial, technical or promotional requirements.

6. Accuracy of Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied with your submission is accurate and up to date.

This includes the book title, author name, description, genre, ISBN, pricing information, copyright information and any other information you provide.

7. File Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that the files you submit are complete, readable and suitable for digital distribution.

You should only upload files that you have the legal right to provide.

The Digital Reads may request replacement files if the submitted ebook or cover is damaged, incomplete, incorrectly formatted or unsuitable for publication.

8. Changes & Removal

You may contact The Digital Reads to request changes to information relating to your book or to request that your book be removed from The Digital Reads.

Removal requests will be dealt with as soon as reasonably practicable.

Where a book has already been purchased by a customer, previously completed transactions may not be reversible.

9. Your Responsibility

You remain responsible for your book and for ensuring that its content does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other legal rights of another person or organisation.

If a third party makes a claim relating to your book or the materials you supplied, you agree to provide reasonable assistance and information necessary to address the matter.

10. No Transfer of Copyright

Submitting your book does not give The Digital Reads ownership of your intellectual property.

You continue to own your copyright and other intellectual-property rights unless you separately agree otherwise in writing.

11. Privacy

Information submitted through the book submission form will be used for the purpose of reviewing, managing, promoting and, where applicable, listing your book.

Personal information will not be knowingly sold to third parties.

12. Changes to These Terms

The Digital Reads may update these submission terms from time to time.

The version of the terms applicable to a submission will be the version in effect when the submission is made, unless otherwise required by law.

13. Agreement

By submitting your book, you confirm that:

☐ I confirm that the information I have provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

☐ I understand that submitting my book does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Who sets the price? You do (minimum £0.49). We may suggest a price that sells well.

Is it exclusive? No - but if your ebook is enrolled in Amazon KDP Select you can't sell it here while it's enrolled.

How do I leave? Email us and we remove your book within 7 days.

What do I send? EPUB (preferred) or Word file, a cover at least 1600×2560px, a blurb, a short bio and your pen name.

What won't you accept? Fan fiction or books using other people's characters or brands, plagiarised work, and anything illegal. AI-assisted books must be edited and must say so.

How do you promote my book? New-release email, a blog feature, social posts and a place in our genre collections.
